Drawing on the Walls!

>

I LOVE this idea I found on Tutu's and Turtle's blog :(http://tutusandturtles.blogspot.com/2009/07/free-hand-wallpaper.html,

I just had more photos of the kids taken, and was running out of space to put them all in frames, so this idea is awesome for adding in photos as you go, using all the space in the hallway!!

Not quite done, (I keep walking by and doodling some more!), but so far, I love it, there's such a simple childish pleasure in drawing on the walls!

Clock Hand Jewelry

I got this fabulous idea from a fellow crafter, Jennifer McMillan, I love the possibilities with this project!! Just get clock hands from a craft store, glue on crystals, and voila! Now all I need are some more earwires, and these will probably go in my etsy store soon!

Beachy Shell Frames

This is a great summer project for kids! After collecting our favorite shells from our beach vacation each year, we glue them to inexpensive frames, and voila! - our beach memories are saved forever!

Beach Birthday Cupcake & Recipe

My daughter's 5 year birthday party was a smash with a beach theme, we played limbo, pinned the nose on the lion and ate these cool cupcakes that I found the idea for... I've been making these Oreo cupcakes for every event these days, they are THAT awesome!!! Here's the recipe:
Cookies-n-Cream Cupcakes
30 oreo cookies
white cake mix
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
buttercream frosting

Preheat oven to 350, line 24 cupcake cups with liners. Count out 12 oreos, seperate, keep icing on both, place icing side up in all 24 liners, set aside. Crush remaining oreos, set aside. Mix cake mix, sour cream, oil, eggs & vanilla in mixing bowl, blend, fold in 1 1/2 cups crushed oreos, spoon 1/3 cup batter in each cup. Bake 18-20 min, place on wire rack to cool. Spread on frosting when cool, sprinkle with remaining oreos.
(I didn't do the last step on these so that I could decorate them, and they were still AWESOME!)

Resin Projects

I did a big batch of resin yesterday, here's just a few pics... The frame is a cowboy theme for my boss (friend)'s birthday, the earrings and bracelet are just something fun! These are so easy and satisfying to make!

Knit Dress

My fabulous friend Nicole knit this gorgeous dress for my daughter's 5th birthday, and she loves her new princess dress! We found this pattern on Ravelry (which is an awesome site), and once again I am in awe of my mentor's abilities!

Woven Rug Coasters

Since I had 5 hours in the car on the way to and from the beach for vacation, I played around with a new technique that I saw in a book called Wild with a Glue Gun. Just cut even numbered slits in a cardboard fabric bolt to make a loom, and start weaving! I made a very sad scarf first, then decided to try these mini "rugs" to use as coasters, they turned out cute!
